An individual, who is an employee of an international organization or foreign government, will have the same privileges, exemptions, and immunities from being held legally responsible while working in their official capacity in the Marshall Islands as they do while working in their official capacity elsewhere.

An individual, who, in good faith, reports a person suspected of being infected with a communicable disease, will not be held legally responsible for making the report.

Good Samaritan Law

An individual, who, in good faith, provides emergency care at the scene of an emergency, will not be held legally responsible for acting or for failing to act. They can be held legally responsible if acting with extreme carelessness or intent to cause harm. Generally, Good Samaritan laws only offer protection for those individuals who provide care during spontaneous emergencies unrelated to volunteer deployment. This section does not apply to care provided inside a health care facility.

Temporary License: Medical Team Member

Other Medical Professional, Nurse, Physician, Emergency Medical Services Professional, Governmental Public Health Official, Dentist, Pharmacist, Social Worker, Mental or Behavioral Health Professional, Minor or Student,

An individual, who is part of a medical team providing health care services, can obtain a short-term license to provide medical services for a week or a month by submitting credentials to the Marshall Islands’ Secretary of Health.
