Summary

An out-of-state licensed ambulance service, vehicle, or person, who provides emergency medical services during a mass casualty situation in Maine, is not obligated to follow licensing requirements.

Section 1. Exemption. Any ambulance service, vehicle or person licensed in another state or territory to provide emergency medical treatment, and entering Maine in response to a call to assist in a mass-casualty situation, is exempt from the provisions of these Rules requiring licensure in Maine.
