Summary Title

License Reciprocity: Health Care Providers During Emergency

Summary

When an emergency declaration is in effect, an out-of-state licensed health care provider who has a provider identification card issued by the Oregon Health Authority and who, if required, has received training and completed a criminal background check, can provide health care without obtaining a license in Oregon to the same extent as they could in their home state.

During a state of emergency declared under ORS 401.165 or a state of public health emergency proclaimed under ORS 433.441, a health care provider who is licensed, certified or otherwise authorized or permitted by the laws of another state to administer health care services and who is registered under ORS 401.654 may administer health care services in this state as if the health care provider were licensed in this state.
