Liability: Providing Pre-Hospital Emergency Field Care
An individual, who holds a U.S. government-issued certificate or license to provide pre-hospital emergency field care treatment and who, in good faith, provides field care treatment at the scene of an emergency, will not be held legally responsible for acting or for failing to act. They can be held legally responsible if acting with extreme carelessness or intent to cause harm.
Statutory Liability Limitations: Persons Certified to Provide Pr e- hospital Emergency Field Care Treatment
Any person who has a certificate or license issued by U.S. jurisdiction government agency or authority to provide prehospital emergency field care treatment at the scene of an emergency, as defined in 7 CMC § 2803, shall be liable for civil damages only for acts or omissions performed in a grossly negligent manner or acts or omissions not performed in good faith.
