License Reciprocity: Temporary Physician License
When an emergency declaration is in effect, where there is a shortage of physicians, an out-of-state physician can obtain a temporary license to practice for up to 3 months.
Requirements for Temporary/Limited License
(a) The board may issue a temporary or limited license for three months to an applicant to practice as a physician if: . . . (2) A public emergency occurred, such as a declared disaster of such destructive magnitude force which damaged or destroyed homes, and injured or killed people, and produces a range of immediate suffering and basic human needs that cannot be promptly or adequately addressed by the affected people, and there is a shortage of physicians;
