Liability: Transporting Patient at Direction of Law Enforcement
An emergency medical service provider who, in good faith, provides emergency medical transport of a patient against the patient’s will but at the direction of a law enforcement officer will not be held legally responsible.
Persons and activities exempt from civil liability
(7) An emergency medical service provider who, in good faith, transports an individual against his will but at the direction of a law enforcement officer pursuant to Section 62A-15-629 is not liable for civil damages for transporting the individual.
