License Exemption: Volunteer Physician
A physician, who is licensed in good standing in another state, can practice medicine in Rhode Island for up to 7 days if they are working as an unpaid volunteer physician.
Exceptions to licensure requirement
(4) The physician is present in the state for a period not to exceed seven (7) days as a volunteer physician serving in a non-compensated role for a charitable function.
